New Exhibitors Make First Appearance at the Lake States Logging Congress & Equipment Expo
(RHINELANDER, WI)… Even though most traditional industries are seeing an economic downturn in the Global Market, the 64th Annual Lake States Logging Congress & Equipment Expo is attracting new Exhibitors to this year’s show.
The Expo has booked over 230,000 square feet for exhibitors, at the Upper Peninsula Fairgrounds in Escanaba, Michigan and more exhibitors are booking booths daily.
Nothing is stopping this year’s show and anyone who wants to promote their products to thousands of visitors will be there. Constant exposure is what will keep the companies growing. Statistics prove, now is the time to advertise and position your company for success.
Bob Delich from Delich Equipment Sales in Wakefield, Michigan, is attending the event for the first time. “I’m coming to sell equipment. I’ve hired a new sales person, so that I can start getting out to events like this. It comes down to business exposure and making money.”
Honeyville Metal, Inc, of Topeka, Indiana is making their first appearance at many of the logging trade shows, as the housing and woodworking markets have softened. “I needed to expand my business and the logging industry is a good fit for it,” stated Mike Unterhahrer. “I have found this industry to be good for me right now. If the other markets pick up, I will have both industry’s to work with, which isn’t a bad situation to be in.”
Another new exhibitor is EZ Boardwalk from Missouri. Edward Zimmerman is coming due to the current low sales in the band saw and sawmill markets. What he offers will interest many land owners who want to do their own lumber. He markets a portable unit, which is great for landowners. It’s a must see for anyone looking to process their own lumber without having to haul or contract it out.
Michigan area vendors that are new to the Expo this year are: Thermo King Michigan, Inc., an air conditioning company out of Byron Center, Michigan; Northern Machining & Repair out of Escanaba; Michigan Energy Solution from Calumet, Michigan, is presenting the “green energy” with the solar windmills; Split Right from Morenci, Michigan; and The Safety Store from Marquette, Michigan.
Other new vendors are: Knifesource, from Fountain Inn, South Carolina; Risley Equipment Ltd from Grande Prairie, Canada; Complete Cellular from Wausau, Wisconsin. Complete Cellular will be there to promote new devices to enhance cellular service when it’s not readily available; Safety Compliance Associates, a consulting service that provides consulting and OSHA services will also be there.
Whether they are new to the show or long time exhibitors, each exhibit has much to offer anyone in the wood industry, as well as landowners, outdoor enthusiasts wanting to improve their land to attract wildlife. Being able to see the new technology in the construction equipment, forestry and small implements for landowners is an added bonus.
“The GLTPA staff is very excited to have the opportunity to provide vendors the personal service they need for a successful show. Having Aaron Nieman as our full-time Event Coordinator has helped the organization stay on top of the event and kept it growing all year long. Thinking out of the box is our specialty and making Logging Congress a valuable event for the customers and attendees is priority number one,” stated GLTPA Executive Director, Henry Schienebeck.
