BUILDERS EXCHANGE The Builders Exchange keeps those in the local building trades apprised of upcoming construction projects through a weekly newsletter and provides plans and blueprint copying. You will need Adobe Acrobat to view it. >>Builders Exchange Newsletter Builders Exchange Activity has Increased The level of activity with the Delta County Builders Exchange (BX) has dramatically increased this past month. The Delta County Airport expansion, Wal-Mart Superstore and Escanaba Area Schools have generated the most interest. A measure of the level of the activity is the fact that BX members produced more than 500 feet of blueprint copies within a 48-hour period-that's a record! There are currently 94 members of the BX. Membership is open to Chamber members in the building or related trades. Not only are builders enrolled, but also landscapers, carpeting and flooring suppliers and various other businesses that want to be a part of the area construction projects. Annual membership dues are $50. The weekly newsletter which lists all area projects, discount on copying, and access to plans for projects currently being bid are three of the most important benefits of membership. The Delta County Builders Exchange sponsors two annual events for its members a trade show style Business After Hours and mandatory Safety and First Aid Training course through the M-Tec Centers.
