Escanaba Public Library Presents Paleontology Program

February 22 @ 4:30 pm

Fossils can be readily found throughout Delta County. The Escanaba River area and the Stonington Peninsula have yielded many extraordinary specimens. Join Fossil Hunter Roy Webber on Tuesday, February 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers as he presents An Historical View of Paleontology in Delta County, Michigan.

Roy’s interest in things prehistoric began as a child when he found a partial trilobite in a parking lot in his hometown and his interest has expanded from there.  He is a member of the Alabama Paleontological Society and is currently a resident of Escanaba.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing at the end of the presentation for a copy of the book, “Into the Ordovician-Adventures in a Prehistoric World.”

This is a free event. No registration is required. For more information, call the Escanaba Public Library 906-789-7323. The library is located at 400 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
