November 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

NORTHERN EXPOSURE WORKSHOP:
LANDSCAPE WITH HUE CONTRAST
ARTIST LEVEL
Students will be creating an under-painting for a landscape based on photographed images that they bring to class. Stephanie will share her technique of building depth with hue by using her signature color squares that work their way into the composition, creating a color-full sense of depth.
What will be covered:
* Color matching and mixing
* Drawing from a photograph
* Creating small colorful paintings from photos
Artist Level classes require students to bring
their own supplies. The supply list is as follows:
* Please bring a few photo references to paint from
* Small primed canvas (no side bigger than 20” or smaller than 10”)
* Paint selection. I like to add Zinc & titanium white

* Small piece of plate glass or a ceramic plate for color mixing
* Pallet knives, one or 2 are nice
* Jar for cleaning brushes
* Gamsol if using oil paint
